Mr. KJ Bierly is not only a champion of both Kick USA and the US Open
Karate Championships but also, more importantly, a champion of life. KJ personifies the excellence that Shihan
Steve Del Castillo teaches at Premier Martial Arts in everything that he does. Besides his dramatic successes in the martial arts arena, KJ is a star baseball player, plays guitar and is a straight A student. KJ is able to apply the Blackbelt success system, to include his laser beam focus, discipline and goal setting skills to any and every endeavor he undertakes. He is a walking embodiment of the academy’s mission, “empowering lives through martial art”.
KJ started training with Shihan Steve in his first small dojo when he was only 4. He was a part of the then new “Little Champions” program, and then youth basic, then
Blackbelt Training, Premier Training and then demo and
competition teams. He is now a key member of Shihan Steve’s Leadership Training Course as well. We are very proud of KJ and all his accomplishments over the last 8 years of his life. We’re watching excitedly for what he’ll accomplish in the next!

Premier Martial Arts incorporates a combination of techniques found in four effective disciplines: Karate, Kickboxing, submission grappling and Kali to provide students with a realistic personal protection system for a modern world.

No matter if you are five or sixty five, Strength, Conditioning, and Flexibility are all benefits that a student can expect to receive with Premier Martial Arts Training. Every muscle group is strengthened and defined with the exercises, movements, techniques, and training drills that are incorporated into our curriculum. Your endurance and stamina will peak as we increase your cardiovascular conditioning. All these physical benefits on your body will be felt in your daily life and activities, increasing your energy and confidence.

Most any exercise gets some results when done, most any self defense is better than none. The problem is that most fitness programs fail to offer the excitement and interest to keep the participant consistent in their training, therefore setting them up for failure in their results.
The success in the results of the Premier Martial Arts physical program is supported by personal development. The student learns concepts and receives coaching that keeps them on track like focus, goal setting, self discipline, and confidence, which are all inherent to Martial Arts training. It is like having your own personal trainer and success coach all in one. The best thing of all is you will receive incredible physical benefits and personal development traits, while receiving the empowerment that comes through the self defense training that will be invaluable as you learn the skills needed to protect yourself and
your family.
Our first ever Krav Maga Camp was nothing short of awesome. The
campers trained hard, performed fantastically and took their Krav
Maga to a whole new level. My thanks and congratulations for the
awesome weekend! We had a fantastic training and bonding experience,
and it wouldn't have been possible without such a fantastic group of
students. I put together the people, place and plan, and provided
what i hope was some good training; it was the exemplary attitudes,
energy, motivation and dedication that made the camp such an
incredible success!
Congratulations to Camp graduates Deal Farrell, Joey Chabak, Jeff
Anderson, Steven Faison, Shane Stephens, Brian Milhoan, Nick Rivera,
Chris Persaud, Ken Johnston, John Grimaldi, Jim Garantina, Mike ,
William Dail, Alex Hisey and Umberto Rivera. Congratulations again
on your awesome performance this weekend. You know, life is but a
journey. We are placed here to serve a particular purpose but also
to create some great experiences and memories along the way. i
salute you on those we made together this weekend.

The sixth annual Blackbelt Extravaganza was a huge success and a
magical day. Well over a hundred students celebrated their successes
and received their new ranks, to include 17 blackbelt promotions.
The following is an email that was sent out by Shihan Steve Del
Castillo (who, incidentally, was promoted to his 5th degree at the
event).
hi all,
i just got my Krav Maga teacher off. He stayed a few days after the
extravaganza, teaching and training and just spending some time with
us. I had a great time and am sorry to see him go but i am also
ready to get back to the day to day business of the dojo.
First and foremost in this email i just want to thank You all for
the incredible experience Saturday. I really think we had the most
beautiful Blackbelt Extravaganza ever and i have many, many people
to thank for it.
Of course, first and foremost, i thank God for His presence at
the event and for the opportunity to empower lives through martial
arts. Like any business, mine is sometimes challenging and sometimes
regarding- as my mission, though, i thank God every day that He has
given me one where i feel i help make a positive difference. i love
nothing more than watching young Blackbelts blossom in confidence
and physically, mentally and spiritually into awesome people. i also
appreciate the opportunity to empower adult lives with physical
fitness and realistic self defense. Events like Saturday are few and
far between, but the day to day work we do in the dojo makes them
so.
Thank you to all the volunteers that gave of their personal time to
make this event better than ever and to __ for her kind testimonial.
Thank you to the sponsors (see in right column), to the band, Cool
Change, to A-LOT-A BOUNCIN' who provided the bouncey houses and
concessions and to Worth a Thousand Words Photography. Of course,
thank you to Ernie Kirk for coming and making the event so special
for me, as well as my wife, Barbara, and my mom whom also both made
me cry. :)
A special thanks to Adair VanSpronsen for her awesome article in
the Laker also. I truly appreciate the kind words.
